This is the most important safety page on our website, and we would rather you read it before the pricing page.
It applies to more people than you would think.
Two of BreathiZen's five plants — ginger and bromelain — can affect clotting. Anyone taking warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban, clopidogrel or regular aspirin should get prescriber clearance before taking it.
Why ginger matters
Ginger has recognised antiplatelet activity — it can reduce the tendency of platelets to aggregate. On its own, in food amounts, this is unremarkable. Combined with a prescribed anticoagulant or antiplatelet drug, the effects can stack, and the consequence of stacking is bleeding risk.
Why bromelain matters too
Bromelain can also affect platelet aggregation. That is two of our five plants acting on the same system in the same bottle. We are the brand, and we would rather print that sentence than hope you do not notice.
The drugs to check
- Warfarin (Coumadin)
- Direct oral anticoagulants — apixaban (Eliquis), rivaroxaban (Xarelto), dabigatran, edoxaban
- Antiplatelets — clopidogrel (Plavix), ticagrelor, prasugrel
- Regular aspirin, including low-dose daily aspirin
- Any other medication your prescriber has told you affects bleeding
Every package is one payment. No subscription, no card kept on file.
Order BreathiZenExactly what to ask
Take the five-plant list to your appointment and say: “This is a daily supplement containing ginger root extract and bromelain, both of which can affect clotting. The label prints a 154 mg total for five plants without a per-plant split. Is this safe alongside my medication?”
That sentence gives your prescriber everything they need, including the label limitation. If the answer is no, the sixty-day guarantee makes an unopened order fully reversible — and an opened one too.
Surgery and dental work
Tell your surgeon or dentist you take a daily supplement containing ginger and bromelain. They will advise when to stop before a procedure. Do not guess this one.
- Two of five plants affect platelet aggregation
- Check: warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban, clopidogrel, aspirin
- Tell your surgeon before any procedure
- Guarantee covers you if the answer is no
In one line. Ginger and bromelain both affect clotting. Warfarin, DOACs, clopidogrel and daily aspirin all need prescriber clearance first.
